CONNECT YOUR OWN MT5
Set up your
MT5 bridge.
The bridge runs on your Windows PC alongside your MetaTrader 5 terminal. Your app connects to the bridge over your local network; your MT5 account and trades stay under your control.
Start with a demo account. The bridge is configured for demo-only trading by default and refuses trade requests if the connected MT5 account is live. Keep DEMO_ONLY=true in your configuration.
01Install MetaTrader 5 and open a demo account
Install the MT5 desktop terminal on the same Windows computer as the bridge. Log in to a demo account and check Market Watch for your broker’s gold symbol (often XAUUSD, sometimes GOLD or a broker-specific name).

02Download and extract the bridge source kit
Download the XUTrader bridge files and extract the ZIP. The one-click Windows installer is not available yet, so source setup requires Python on your PC.

03Install dependencies and configure your demo account
Open Command Prompt in the extracted backend folder, then run:
pip install -r requirements.txt
copy .env.example .env
Open .env in a text editor and fill in your demo account’s MT5_LOGIN, MT5_PASSWORD, and MT5_SERVER. Set SYMBOL to the exact gold symbol in your terminal and leave DEMO_ONLY=true.
04Start the bridge and connect your app
In the same Command Prompt window, run:
uvicorn main:app --host 0.0.0.0 --port 8000
Keep the window open while you use the app. In XUTrader settings, set the Backend URL to this PC’s local IP and port (for example, http://192.168.1.42:8000). Your phone and PC should be on the same Wi-Fi network.
